Hand Up Photography is not just a brand; it's a vision of hope and rejuvenation. Rooted in the profound belief that nature's splendor has the power to uplift and heal, we strive to be more than just photographers – we aim to be purveyors of inspiration.

The world around us is a tapestry of wonder, offering solace and strength to those grappling with life's challenges - be it heart disease, anxiety, depression, cancer, or the aftermath of trauma. We understand, however, that the demands of modern life often create barriers to experiencing nature's full therapeutic potential.

This is where Hand Up Photography steps in. Our work transcends mere imagery; it is a gateway to the serenity and awe of the natural world. Each landscape we capture is a carefully crafted conduit of nature's healing energy, designed to be a sanctuary in your home, office, or hotel space. Our photographs are not just pictures; they are windows to tranquility, conduits of peace, and anchors of focus in your daily life.

Our deepest aspiration is that our photography ignites a spark within you. A spark that illuminates your path, fuels your dreams, and encourages you to reach out, even when the goal seems just beyond your grasp. Let Hand Up Photography be your silent ally, constantly reminding you of the beauty in the world and within yourself, empowering you to embrace each day with renewed vigor and unshakable hope.

Join us in this journey of discovery and empowerment, where every photograph is a step towards a more inspired, joyful, and purposeful life.

Captured on April 17, 2016, in Seaside, Oregon, 'God's Kiss Goodnight' is more than a photograph—it's a symbol of hope and renewal. This image, taken amidst a tumultuous 72 hours that saw me lay my grandmother to rest, join the 2016 Warriors to Summits Expedition, and navigate a cross-country journey with two toddlers, represents a pivotal moment of reflection and resolve. As I photographed this serene sunset, alone with my thoughts, I processed a whirlwind of emotions and embraced a newfound hope for my future. This sunset marked a commitment to change and to leaving the war behind. To me, each sunset is God's live painting—a unique, magnificent display of beauty and peace. I invite you to view this capture of nature's splendor, and next time you witness a sunset, remember, it's a personal masterpiece painted just for you.

The Climb

The beginning of April 2017 was an exciting time, especially my trip to Rocky Mountain National Park where I captured this photograph.  It was my first solo climbing trip since returning home from war.  In past years, I let the fear of what might happen control how I live, but since adapting the No Barriers Lifestyle I consistently look for my barriers and figure out how to overcome them.  It is in facing these fears, that I find strength and determination to live a life without barriers.  This restoring trip taught me I can do what I love without fear of the unknown.  This is a picture of Otis Peak and was the view as I took my morning break.  As I looked out over this valley, exhausted, I couldn't help but lose myself in the moment, realizing the impact “Important Places” play in the healing and restoration of our souls.

The Rush Of Life

In the lush greenery of Burton Creek State Park, CA, I captured a moment of timeless beauty on June 1, 2017, which I now share with you as 'The Rush Of Life'. This image, born during the No Barriers Summit in Squaw Valley, echoes a profound truth I stumbled upon in a quote: “Time is like a river. You cannot touch the same water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Enjoy every moment of your life.” As I photographed the sunlight dancing on the rushing stream, I realized the power of this message. This scene, a blend of light, water, and the spirit of nature, is a visual representation of life's fleeting, yet beautiful, flow. It reminds us to cherish every moment, to listen to the universe's subtle guidance, and to embrace the continuous creation of new memories, just as the river never ceases to flow.
