After about an hour and half, things had finally slowed down and I made my way to get some of the amazing bbq, I had been smelling since I arrived at the house. As I spoke with all these awesome people, I feared I looked like my Labrador as she patiently waits for her dinner, with the drool running uncontrollably out the side of her mouth.

My last memory of him was of me tucking him into bed with a kiss and an “I love you, little man.” Then I turned for the door, turned off the overhead light to leave his crib bathed in the light from his nightlight. He had his paci in his left hand, his milk cuppie at his mouth held by his chubby right hand, his blanket over his waist and a contented smile on his face.
