"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
These are the nonprofits that I work with and support on a regular basis with my time and financial resources. I would wholeheartedly recommend any one of these nonprofits and hope to see you out there serving.
Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) is the premier veterans advocacy and support organization created by the Post 9/11 Veteran generation. They also host a world class Rapid Response Referral Program, which provides confidential 24/7 peer to peer support, comprehensive care management and resource connections. www.iava.org
Center for Disabled Children Assistance (CDCA) is a non government organization located in Kathmandu, Nepal. The center was founded by Dendi Sherpa, a well respected and accomplished mountain guide in Nepal. Just like in all developing countries, disabled children are often considered burdens, but Dendi thought if I can teach them a skill then they are assets. CDCA was born. www.cdcakapan.org
